Dress Up Your Bathroom
There are generally two ways to keep the water in your shower from getting into the rest of the room. One method involves expensive shower doors that often need to be custom built to your bathroom, and the other method involves decorative shower curtains that allow you to change the look and style of your bathroom frequently.
If you've chosen to use a curtain, rather than a set of doors in your bathroom, you'll know that you've also given yourself the ability to add a lot of extra decorative touches to the room. Shower curtains give you the option of changing out the color and style of the space frequently, from the curtain itself to the hardware you hang it from.
Shower hooks may be a frequently overlooked part of the bathroom design, but used properly they can bring a lot of style to the area. There are hooks available that can match your cabinet hardware, sharing the color, style, and design of the knobs on your vanity.
Shower rods come in a variety of different shapes and styles, as well as configurations so you can match them to the rest of your bathroom design. Used properly, they not only hold up your shower curtain and keep the water out, they also help to add some stylish decoration to the rest of your bathroom design. There are essentially two different types rods. The first is known as a tension rod. You twist the rod while holding the escutcheons against the walls to tighten the tension and hold it in place. You can adjust the height of a tension rod as needed, and even swap it out for a new one if necessary as well. The second type is a permanent rod, which screws into your wall with brackets on either end. The brackets can be decorative, matching the escutcheons on your bathroom hardware and faucets, or they can be contemporary and plain.
