DIY gifts have come along way. Below are five clever, inexpensive trinkets you can make sure to delight anyone on your list;
.) Wine stopper. Select any vintage inspired knob and gently twist it into a recycled piece of cork. The hostess with the most-est in your life will no doubt swoon for this personal and polished service piece.
.) Jewelry rack. Salvage a piece of lumber and paint or stain it to the color of your choice. Select any number of novelty knobs and insert them evenly placed along the board. Presto! You know have a decorative and functional place for your favorite fashionista to hang and display necklaces, chains and bracelets.
.) Towel holders. Select four to six large door knobs and mount them singularly, or in a group, on painted salvage wood. Mount to a bathroom wall and hang with monogrammed towels. This is a thoughtful gift for the newly wed or new homeowner on your list.
.) Bird feeder. This is probably one of our favorite ideas for the ornithologist on your list. Unless you are pretty handy with carpentry tools visit your local craft store and select a prefabricated bird house. Decorate to your taste and mount a beautiful door knob and plate set to serve as a bird perch.
.) Terrarium. Salvage a mason jar or other large glass container. Fill with rocks, plants and assorted plastic knobs; frogs, leafs, lady bugs and create a delightful indoor garden for the child or horticulturist in your life.
