Last Years Design Trends
Jul 8th 2015
Amateur and professional interior designers rejoice! 2015 is upon us and with it comes the opportunity to recreate our spaces by embracing new colors, patterns, textures and themes. Elle Decor and House Beautiful are predicting some fairly significant interior design concept shifts for the year ahead. Before we turn the last page in our calendars let's look back at the top 5 trends that inspired us in 2014.
2014 top trends:
Bejeweled kitchens- jeweled tone cabinetry accented with statement knobs and pulls lit by ornate chandeliers.
Select Vintage Furnishings- the addition of one refurbished vintage or antique piece into any room.
Traditional furniture in lighter wood tones- a natural counter to the darker colors used on walls and cabinets.
Blue- this shade, in all its variations, found its way into our hearts in home.
Floral and chintz- most commonly seen in accent pieces and used to reinforce larger trends.
